Joe Lewsey is a registered psychologist with experience working in schools and clinical settings. Joe has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of various mental health difficulties in children, adolescents and young-adults. Joe’s work focuses on individual therapy and assessments (psycho-educational and diagnostic).
His therapeutic work revolves around issues related to depression, anxiety, anger, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, self-esteem, and adjustment difficulties. Joe also provides a comprehensive assessment of developmental and learning difficulties including autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder, intellectual disability, and dyslexia (reading disorder). Joe has a special interest in work with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). He works collaboratively with youth, their parents, teachers and schools, to support the social, emotional, and educational development of his clients.
Joe has presented to schools on inclusive education practices for children with ASD. Joe offers clients a warm, understanding and supportive approach to therapy grounded in evidence-based practice and enjoys helping people to overcome their challenges and to reach their potential.
